The project I talked about and the organisation are both familiar to you, so you know where I'm coming from.  It's by no means perfect, and some linear thinking is beginning to creep in...

I observe terrible frustration among dedicated people in other projects who are locked into waterfall approaches; particularly ones where some of the user-focused work, including user needs research of all things, is wedged in late in the piece.

It's no wonder that the UK and Australia see such high failure rates in major IT projects.

The more people like you and I can make our clients familiar with iterative approaches that include users at all stages, the greater the chance I believe we have of getting some great projects off the ground.

There's no need for these projects to be disheartening grind.</description>
